Tips on Getting Healthy This 2017
As the year started, I know most of us are so eager to be healthy this year but some of us do not know how to get started. Living in an urban community can be quite disadvantage as there are a lot temptations to unhealthy foods. Street foods and fast food chains for instance! I mean who doesn't want the crispiest chicken skin of Jollibee?! or the yummy chicken sauce of Mang Inasal, the signature hainanese rice of Paotsin paired with fried Shark's fin dumplings, kwek kwek, fried calamari, fish balls, and many more. These were just some of the best comfort foods of us Filipinos. Oh, did I mention rice meals on the list of comfort foods? Yes! of course we Filipinos cannot live without rice, it's like we don't get full or satisfied with our meals without rice. Rice is life bes!
But how do we get started on being healthy without the above mentioned? Of course it is not possible! If you cut out the foods that you are so used to eat RIGHT AWAY, you would definitely crave for more and more and the ending point would be, NEXT YEAR NALANG ULIT AKO MAGSA-START MAGING HEALTHY.
So for you to at least get started on your goal to be healthy this year, these were some tips for you.
1. Gradually change your habits on eating much- Tapos na ang pagmamatakaw mo bes! Tama na sobra na! Instead of eating 3 cups of rice per meal, gawin mong 2 cups lang muna ngayon tas the next 1 cup nalang hanggang sa half rice nalang ganon. At sa meals, instead of having 3 rice meals a day, gawin mong twice a day lang muna tas pag feel mo na kaya mo na mag 1 rice meal go na! pero wag mong gugutumin sarili mo bes! you need to have some alternatives like wheat bread and fruits.
2. Add fruits and veggies on your everyday meal
- Try mo ring kumain ng gulay at prutas importante yan! Kainin mo yung mga natirang pangpaswerte niyo nung bisperas ng New Year pero wag na yung mga bulok bumili ka nalang sa palengke or supermarket mura lang naman. I promise you that you'll definitely see difference not just outside your body but also on the inside, you'll feel great and healthy. Personally, I love fruit shakes, I usually do my own shakes mixing some bananas, apples, and yogurt or milk. Actually, ginagaya ko lang yung combinations nung sa Fruitas haha. Try niyo!
3. Exercise
- I know this would sound tiring but you need to exercise at least twice a week. Hindi ko naman sinasabing pumunta ka ng gym dahil bulok na yang style na yan bes! Lalo na sa mga tamad na tulad natin haha! Try mong magsearch sa youtube sosbrang dami at di mo na kailangang gumastos, mga zumba o mga cardio exercises kahit 20-30 mins lang a day at least pagpawisan ka man lang di ba.
- Another alternative is try to engage on running events (marathons). Personally, I don't know any sports kahit nga pagbabike hindi rin ako marunong. So instead of learning those, tinary kong magjogging, I enjoyed it and it is part of my lifestyle na.
4. Find some motivation
- Summer body para makapag two-piece ka naman sa summer bes! At may maipost ka sa IG haha!
- Target weight - every one to two months, try to check your weight. Try mong gumawa ng target weight ever one to two months: 5 kilos ngayon, 10 kilos next two months.
5. Enjoy lang bes!
- The more that you enjoy what you are doing, this would become your lifestyle. Kapag nasanay ka na at naeenjoy mo na yung ginagawa mo, nawawala na yung feeling of responsibility.
That's all, this may be the most basic tips you'll ever read pero ganon naman talaga mga bes. We need to learn the basics first before engaging to a healthier lifestyle. Good luck on your journey this year! Wag mo nang ipag-panext year yan bes!
